Day 1 & 2 Fly
USA to Johannesburg (via Europe)
Day 3 Arrive Johannesburg
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. They
came from far and wide to strike it rich when gold was discovered
here in 1886, and the “City of Gold” still pulsates with
entrepreneurial energy.

Day 4 Fly Johannesburg to Maun, Botswana
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. On arrival in Maun
you will be met and assisted onto a small charter plane to Khwai
River Lodge.

Day 5 Khwai River Lodge
Observe the perennial drama of the African bushveld and enjoy
excellent bird watching opportunities.
Day 6 Fly Khwai River to Eagle Island

Day 7 Eagle Island Camp
Explore this region of myriad waterways, palm-treed islands and vast
flood plains. Enjoy game viewing by mekoro (dugout canoe) and
walking trails.
Day 8 Fly Eagle Island to Savute
Board a small charter plane for your flight to Savute Elephant Camp.

Day 9 Savute Elephant Camp
This rugged, semi-arid wilderness region is known for its game
viewing and birding. View rock paintings drawn by the early Bushmen,
who once inhabited the region.
Day 10 Fly Savute to Cape Town (Via Maun &
Johannesburg)
Board a small charter plane to Maun and connect to your onward
flight to Cape Town. Arrive in spectacular Cape Town, also known as
the “Mother City”. You will be met at the airport and transferred to
your hotel.

Day 11 Cape Peninsula Tour
See for yourself how this spectacular southern tip of Africa became
known as the ‘Fairest Cape’. The tour begins with a stroll through
the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Then drive past the
pristine beaches of Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno - currently the
hottest real estate in the world – to Hout Bay, a functioning harbor
and heart of the local crayfish industry (optional Seal Island
cruise, time permitting).
Drive along the breathtakingly scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive, around
the Atlantic Seaboard. After a stop for lunch (own account), it’s on
to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing
point. The spectacular sea and mountain views are reason enough to
make the 66km trip from Cape Town. Amid the rocky landscape - home
to mountain zebra, eland and ostriches - blooms magnificent Cape
flora.
Continue along the coastline to the beautiful Boulders Beach where
you can stroll along wooden walkways and enjoy viewing a colony of
penguins. Our last stop is the naval port of Simon’s Town, the
country’s third oldest European settlement.
Day 12 Cape Winelands Tour
Escape to the beauty and tranquility of the Paarl, Franschhoek and
Stellenbosch Winelands. Our first stop is the Afrikaans Language
Monument, perched on Paarl Rock, which offers sweeping views of the
surrounding area. Continue onto wineries of well-known estates, to
sample wines of merit, before visiting the Huguenot Monument and
Museum in Franschhoek, to discover the origins of this world
renowned wine producing region.
Enjoy lunch in one of the many fine restaurants in either
Franschhoek or Stellenbosch (own account).
Day 13 Fly Cape Town to USA (Via
Johannesburg & Europe)
Transfer to the airport for your onward flights.
